There will be changes in operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres on Easter holidays
“Rīgas satiksme” informs that there will be changes in the operation of public transport, municipal parking lots and customer service centres, as well as in the use of working-day monthly tickets on Easter holidays from April 10 until April 13.
Public transport
During Easter holidays, on April 10, 11, 12 and 13, Riga public transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses) will run according to holiday schedules.
On April 10-13, traffic of bus No. 52 will be restored and there will be also changes in the traffic of bus No. 11. From 09:00 until 19:30, all runs of bus No. 11 will reach Jaunciems cemetery.
Passengers who have bough monthly tickets for working days shall take into account, that on Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13, which are holidays, these tickets will not be valid in public transport.
Customer service centre
On Saturday, April 11, the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 until 16:00. On April 10, 12 and 13 this customer service centre will be closed.
Parking lots
Paid parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge on April 10, 12 and 13, except the underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Steret 5a (next to the House of Congresses), where parking services will be charged for according to the existing tariffs also on holidays. On Saturday, April 11, pay parking lots will work as usually on Saturdays – those located in tariff zones A, B, C, D will be open from 9:00 until 17:00, and in Old Riga from 6:00 until 24:00.
“Rīgas satiksme” is constantly monitoring passenger flow in public transport. The passenger flow is monitored by public transport drivers, traffic controllers, as well as ticket inspectors and specially trained staff. Information also comes from the registration of trips and from other technical devices and was analysed. The filling of public transport is monitored also on Easter holidays.
To reduce the risk of the spreading of virus COVID 19, everybody must be involved, so it is important that people have as little social contacts as possible and would use public transport during the emergency situation only when there is no other alternative. To reduce the spreading of COVID-19, the company calls on clients to stay at home, go on foot or by bicycle.
